Ishbel Lapper

Director, Boss Lady & HR Guru

I am a Chartered Fellow of CIPD –MCIPD

Over 20+ years HR experience in both public and private sector

I am passionate about HR and self financed all qualifications including my CIPD and obtained a Distinction in my Masters for HRM

Significant and broad range of experience gained from working in various sectors which has enhanced expertise as a generalist HR practitioner. Sectors operated in include: Transport, Logistics & Warehousing, Retail, Manufacturing – Food & Cars, Automotive, Social Housing to name but a few

Set up HR Solutions Shropshire in 2016 to work independently providing support and assistance to SME businesses

Became Wright HR LTD April 2025 to work independently providing support and assistance to SME businesses

I have been married 14 years to my husband Rob and have a daughter Willow who is 10 years old.

I grew up as an Army daughter living both in the UK and Germany

I was educated at an all girls boarding school in Yorkshire before obtaining my degree at Wolverhampton university

Represented the North Yorkshire County at Lacrosse.

Pride myself on being very personable and approachable which I believe is important in the field I operate in

I’m the Office Manager at Wright HR Ltd and feel incredibly proud to have been the company’s very first employee.

Since day one, I’ve been part of the journey, helping to build and support the business behind the scenes and keeping everything running smoothly for both our team and our clients

With over 15 years of administrative experience, primarily within the public sector, I bring a wealth of organisational knowledge and a genuine passion for helping people. My career has given me experience across a variety of sectors, including Hospitality, Education, Sales & Lettings, Legal Services and Insurance, allowing me to understand the different challenges and opportunities that businesses face

I love supporting businesses to grow by nurturing their people and creating positive, productive working environments where employees can thrive

Born and bred in Shropshire, I attended Thomas Telford School and have called Shropshire home all my life. Outside of work, I live on a narrowboat in North Shropshire  with my trusted companion Roxy and have two grown up children who are navigating their own career paths

Those who know me would describe me as friendly, approachable and someone who genuinely cares about people. I pride myself on being a good listener, building strong relationships and always delivering work to a high standard. Whether I’m supporting our clients, helping Ishbel or solving problems behind the scenes, I believe in getting things done properly, accurately and with a smile
